The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), through the National Committee on Libraries and information Services, has honored UC Libraries with a Plaque of Appreciation for its active involvement in the 2023 Library and Information Services Month Photovoice Project focused on Local Heritage Collection of Libraries in the Philippines.
UC Libraries is selected among the final entries, spotlighted on the NCCA’s website. Among the libraries’ showcased items are photos of a local newspaper named “The Gold Ore” and books titled “E. Masferre People of the Philippine Cordillera: Photographs 1934-1956” and “Ap-apo ni Tuo: Ancestors of the People.”
The award ceremony is held on November 22, 2023, in Pampanga.
