UC Library Receives Publications from the Department of Foreign Affairs

The University of the Cordilleras Libraries formally received two significant publications from the Department of Foreign Affairs – Office of Cultural Diplomacy (DFA-OCD), through the DFA Consular Office in Baguio, on March 27, 2026. The materials were warmly welcomed by Ms. Beverly B. Chapichap on behalf of the UC Libraries.

The donated publications include:

1. From the Philippines to the World: A Global Catalogue of Philippine Studies Programs Abroad Promoting Academic Excellence and Cultural Diplomacy
This publication provides a comprehensive overview of Philippine Studies programs offered in institutions worldwide, highlighting initiatives that promote Philippine culture, history, and identity while fostering academic collaboration and cultural diplomacy.

2. Documenta Filipina – The Philippines in Portuguese Archives and Libraries (1506–1832)
This work presents historical documents from Portuguese archives and libraries, offering valuable insights into early interactions involving the Philippines and serving as an important resource for historical research.

The University of the Cordilleras Libraries expresses its sincere gratitude to the Department of Foreign Affairs and its partners for their continued support in promoting access to valuable academic and cultural resources.

The donation highlights shared commitment of the DFA-OCD and the UC Libraries to promote cultural diplomacy, enrich academic resources, and strengthen research and global engagement.
