UC Libraries Launches “Click, Connect & Explore”for Library and Information Services Month 2025

Library Greetings

As part of the celebration for Library and Information Services Month 2025, the UC Libraries is hosting an innovative activity, “Click, Connect & Explore: Unlock the Library at Your Fingertips,” happening from November 24 to 28, 2025.

The initiative aligns with this year’s national theme, “LACE-UP: Libraries – A Hub for Cultural Exploration and Unity Through Partnership,” and reinforces the library’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, cultural engagement, and collaborative learning.

The activity’s main goal is to help UC students create their user credentials needed for accessing the library’s extensive online databases. This empowers “UCians to fully utilize the library’s online resources,” according to Ms. Beverly B. Chapichap, Director of UC Libraries.

Utilizing these digital platforms allows students to explore credible sources, connect with global knowledge networks, and broaden their academic horizons beyond the traditional classroom. Participants will gain practical skills in navigating online academic tools, preparing them for the demands of the academic landscape.

The initiative is already receiving positive feedback from students, who noted that the activity is a great way to inform and engage them about online resources and helps them meet their academic needs, especially for research.
