Library Greetings| By Reuel Dominic Allan
Each November, we observe Filipino Values Month to celebrate ourselves and what it means to be a Filipino. During our celebration, we should recall our values of respect, cooperation, friendship, love for others.
Values like these may be seen in such ordinary acts as saying “po” and “opo” to people, helping our neighbors, or simply being good to others. Even today, these small acts keep the Filipino spirit alive.
Celebrating Filipino Values Month is not only looking back but also living out values now. Online and offline, having love for others, being respectful, and being sympathetic or empathetic towards others strengthen the Filipino culture.
Let us live by this for not just a month because being Filipino is not just about being a nationality but a lifestyle fueled by love and compassion.
