2012 Chit Estella Journalism Prize for Human Rights Reporting Awardee Donates Anthology Book to UC Libraries

Ms. Elizabeth Lolarga, a poet, journalist, and teacher, is a co-author of the book “First Draft: Personal Essays by Ten Women.” She contributed nine essays discussing grief, writing, passion, hope, love, and life. A copy of the book was received by UC’s President Dr. Nancy M. Flores and Libraries Director Beverly B. Chapichap in March 2024. The book is available in the Filipiniana section of UC Libraries.

Ms. Lolarga is a member of the Philippine Center for International Poets, Playwrights, Editors, Essayists, and Novelists (PEN) and has further published three limited-edition poetry collections.
